The Ultimate Reading List for Women Who Embrace Change
No matter how much any of us feel like we have it all figured out, there is ALWAYS one thing we can improve upon. I can honestly say that the older I get, the more I find true joy in intentionally working toward becoming my best self.
I’m assuming if you’re reading this, YOU are a strong woman who embraces challenges and consistently searches for a solution to problems. I think one of the bravest things any woman can do is to embrace change in the areas of their lives where they see fit and actively seek a solution to make it happen.
This year, I’m stacking my reading list up with books that will foster the right mindset to make necessary changes focusing on four main areas: My emotions, my habits, my mindset, and my self-confidence.
In the art of being as transparent as possible, the books featured in this article include affiliate links. Should you decide you like any of these books, I will receive a small commission. This, of course, is at zero cost to you. I’ve included links to the hardcover/paperback copies and the audiobook version for you because you ladies deserve options.
With that being said, here is the list of books and my WHY behind each one:

The Book: Book of Moods by Lauren Martin
So far, I’ve read a few pages of this book and Lauren is so authentic and honest about what it’s like to be a woman and go through these intense mood swings even amid life appearing to be seemingly perfect.
The Why: To better handle the everchanging triggers of life
I find myself in this same predicament as Lauren all too often. Nothing is wrong but everything is wrong all at the same time. I hope to learn how to understand these strong waves of emotions women go through and become a better more emotionally stable individual. If we master our emotions, we just become better overall no matter what we face.

The Book: The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg.
Through a series of different case studies that have been conducted on habit changing and habit forming, Charles takes a technical approach to shift habits and understanding why and how habits are created.
The Why: To become a more efficient version of myself.
I am a procrastinator at heart. It’s one habit I truly want to change this year. I have read this book before and it honestly gets me so fired up to go after the things I love. I’m a huge believer in revisiting things that have inspired me before because the second time around I always interpret a new message. Every chapter of this book has an “aha” moment and if you are serious about changing any habit at all, I suggest you dive in as well.

The Book: Get Out of Your Head
“This book is a beautiful reminder that God is at work in all the messiness of our minds. God beckons us to get out of our heads and practice daily presence and rest with Him.”—Latasha Morrison, author and founder of Be the Bridge
This review alone could get me to buy this book. I truly believe there are truths that lie within this book that will help realign you with the tools you need to succeed and build stronger foundation in your faith. This sounds like a WIN to me!
The Why: To get out of my own way when it comes to the things I want in life
There are moments that I second guess myself, but I really want to start showing up as the best version of myself. I hope that this book is the wake-up call I need to start walking in my truth and get out of my own way.

The Book: How to be a BAWSE by Lilly Sighn.
If I’m honest, this is the one I’m most excited about. The title is pretty self-explanatory. I’m certain this book is for any woman who wants to be a more confident and independent version of herself.
The Why: To be a stronger, more self-assured version of myself
Lilly Sighn is such a mogul. She’s known for her well-thought-out comedic YouTube videos, but I was introduced to her in an entirely different light. While I was searching for my daily inspirational video, I came across an interview she did. She talks about her work ethic and her creative process. She’s so well-spoken and thoughtful in her words, and she exudes confidence. What I hope to take from this is to learn the habits and mindset of a woman who has had years of experience in a very competitive industry. It’s always amazing to learn from strong women that are willing to pass that knowledge onto others.
So there you have it. These are the three books I am prioritizing high on my reading list this year. I hope to get so many gems of knowledge through my reading and pass them on to you. I challenge you to read at least ONE book on this list to fully embrace the confident, mindful, absolute best version of yourself.
